Battle of the Sexes
The majority of adults across the U.S use at least one social networking site. However, there is a huge difference between men and women when it comes to their social network usage. I’d like to share an infographic by DigitalFlashNYC that takes a look at some numbers behind how men and women use social media and who uses it more effectively… An old school battle of the sexes.
The largest two social networking sites Facebook and Twitter are ruled by women. 58% of Facebook users are women, and 64% of Twitter users are women. Almost 300,000 states updates are posted to Facebook every minute, with women leading the change. Women make up 82% of Pinterest users, and 60% of Zynga users, and women make up 55% of the online gaming population.
LinkedIn, Google+, and Reddit are the social networking sites that are dominated by men. 63% of LinkedIn users are men, 71% of Google+ users are men, and 84% of Reddit users are men. Battle of the sexes indeed.
