Blogs > Five Ways AI is Revolutionizing the Marketing Industry
November 15, 2023 Andrew Procyk
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more prevalent in our day-to-day lives for everything from Siri to self-driving cars and even creating art. In fact, in a recent HubSpot survey conducted in 2021 revealed 63% of respondents didn’t even know they were currently using AI technology. It would only make sense that it has a profound impact on the way marketers target and communicate with their target audience and clients. AI integration will continue to be a game changer and revolutionize the marketing landscape. Competitors will soon leave behind marketers who fail to adapt and integrate these often free-to-use AI tools into their business practices.
The creation of approximately 328.77 million terabytes of data per day online in 2023 makes it nearly impossible for the human mind to comprehend. Luckily for us, such an abundance of information allows the opportunity for AI software to gather, edit, and organize this data that is digestible by our primate brains. AI can even take it a step further to help predict future trends and give marketers insight for potential market shifts.
This turns this overwhelming challenge into an opportunity for marketers to make more data-driven decisions. All while gaining a deeper understanding of future consumer preferences allowing a more personalized approach for that target audience.
AI is changing the way content can be created by enhancing users’ ability to access viable information by analyzing data of the target market in real-time. While also making it easier to create content with user-friendly tools that simplify the process. Just like the newer software on cameras on new mobile phones with built-in stabilizers and image enhancers gives content creators studio-like quality in their pockets. Software like Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro gives users more options and abilities than ever before to edit and create new videos and images for their content creation.
AI can even cut out the middleman and with just a few suggestions and prompts can create images and videos on its own. You can watch a quick 8-minute video showcasing the advancements in AI content creation on the “Think Media” YouTube channel. Don’t have time for an 8min video? Then there’s some TikTok URLs of AI generated Pixar art based on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings books.
With the creation of AI-driven chatbots customers and prospects can now receive instant customer support without hiring an outsourced 24/7 call center. This allows businesses to reply in real-time while streamlining the process and increasing customer satisfaction. This frees up companies to distribute their human resources to more hands-on tasks.
As the chatbots continue to improve there’s no reason to not believe that in the foreseeable future, they will start passing the Turing Test. Alan Turing created the Turing Test in 1950 to assess a machine’s ability to display intelligent behavior indistinguishable from that of a human. Once this is achieved, customer satisfaction will reach an excellent level without human error. I don’t know about you but when they first started using chatbots I would find them extremely slow and infuriating. Now in 2023 if I want something done fast 24 hours a day, I will prompt the bot over the human to solve my issue and concerns.
Living in a global economy with access to approximately 5 billion potential customers aged 18-65 years of age language barriers and the ability to communicate with one another has had a huge impact on how we do business. However, due to the introduction of AI-powered communication tools such as Grammarly, Zoom, Crystal, etc., this obstacle has shrunk tremendously and helped bridge the gap.
New AI software such as Grammarly helps individuals to sound more professional by correcting mistakes before sending work emails, media posts, proposals, etc. The new AI-driven software these days allows you to edit and proofread as you write, saving both time and resources for the company.
With the automation of repetitive tasks, AI programs allow marketers to focus on the creative aspect and innovative side of content creation. Once upon a time, automation was only for big businesses and corporations but not anymore. The cost-effectiveness and potential savings for small business owners have grown due to the abundance of computing power and user-friendly AI software. This allows marketing teams to be highly productive while also reducing the chances of human input errors for an overall better experience for both the team and clients.
Since the pandemic of 2020, we’ve seen a huge shift of office personnel to remote work at home or anywhere for that matter. But due the new AI innovations in software give workplaces the tools for easy communication. It’s never been easier to collaborate as a group without being in the same room. Not to mention the time employees save on their commutes can be invested into extra sleep and family time hence making them more productive when working.
The incorporation of AI in the marketing field and all businesses big or small will help the flow of tasks for marketing managers to be more efficient and data driven. By eliminating repetitive tasks and streamlining processes in real time AI software will only continue to grow more valuable.
A thought shared by many brilliant people. “AI will be the best or worst thing ever for humanity.” Elon Musk. Only time will tell what the future holds for the future of AI integration in the workforce but for the time being, if you do not adapt and embrace this new technology then you will most likely be left behind.
