Contest marketing is likely the simplest type of digital marketing program. The goal with a contest is to find “like minded” people who say or indicate that they are interested in your product or service. Today most marketers are not managing email lists and what I mean by that is that they are not building or developing their marketing lists.
Email communication continues to be your single most important tool in your marketing tool box and in many cases the most neglected. Contest programs provide marketers with many benefits and email is one of the primary benefits. Contests also provide your firm, your brand, your product with a favourable impression, after all everyone likes FREE stuff, or the opportunity to win FREE stuff.

Given that contest marketing is fully measurable at every view and click, it would seem that contest marketing and advertising programs are a natural for most marketers. So again, why not?
