Email Newsletter
One of the most common complaints voiced by small business owners is the need to communicate regularly with clients and prospects. Creating engaging customer-focused content with calls to action, using HTML to ensure the email looks great on both PCs and mobile devices, managing subscriber lists, and monitoring results all takes time, effort and a healthy dash of creativity. And then you have to do it all again the following month!
We take care of it all. Every month, approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled delivery date, RAVEN5’s Newsletter Team will gather your content, wrap it in a responsive HTML template, and send it to you for review. You can request revisions or additions as needed up to the deployment date. Once your newsletter is delivered to your subscribers, you’ll receive a summary report where you can view insightful campaign stats.
Email remains a popular engagement tactic for prospects and customers alike. Through responsive design, better delivery practices, and complex triggered campaigns, email continually evolves to meet marketers’ needs and produces a ROI for business owners. With RAVEN5, your email newsletters will be on time and on target, every time!

CASL Compliancy
All commercial electronic messages (CEMs) sent to an email address, social networking account, or a cell number must have the recipient’s consent. The burden of proof will be on the sender, not the recipient, of the message.
Express consent is the new gold standard and you must have it to continue emailing after July 1, 2017. Once a customer provides express consent, there is no time limit to the contact a business can have with the customer unless the customer opts out.
If you want to enjoy today’s freedom to connect with potential customers, your existing lists need to be converted to express consent.

Email List Cleansing
Regardless of where the list came from, whether you built it yourself, purchased it or borrowed it from a neighbour, we won’t tell. But, by cleansing your list you’ve just taken the first steps to avoid huge bounce rates and potentially upsetting your ESP (Email Service Provider – i.e. MailChimp, MailJet, Vertical Response, etc.).
Now don’t get too excited and go emailing them all right away! Depending on the process you used to cleanse your list, you’ll need to know just what those different email statuses mean. Luckily, we just happen to have a quick review right here for you.
Valid
The email has a valid account associated with it. SAFE TO MAIL.
Invalid
The email address is invalid. DO NOT MAIL.
Accept All
Email address looks good, but then again, all the emails from the domain look good. Accept-All domains have configurations that make all emails seem Valid, which is rarely the case. There will be some bounces from the Accept-All category so consider the following before mailing:
- If your ESP’s bounce threshold is 5% or less: DO NOT MAIL.
- If your ESP has given you a dedicated IP: MAIL SLOWLY.
Unknown
The email address looks good but the associated domain is not responding. This could be a temporary status for domains having intermittent issues or a permanent issue for dying domains. There will be some bounces from the Unknown category so consider the following before mailing:
- If your ESP’s bounce threshold is 5% or less: DO NOT MAIL.
- If your ESP has given you a dedicated IP: MAIL SLOWLY.
Email Address Invalid
The email address format is incorrect. For example, alex0uwrwe#com is not in the correct email format of name@domain.com. Many of these can be prevented by applying simple regular expression to data prior to verification.
Email Domain Invalid
The email address is associated with a domain that doesn’t exist. For example, goooooooooooooogle.com is not a real domain capable of sending and receiving email. So alex@goooooooooooooogle.com is an invalid email since it pertains to a domain that does not exists.
Email Account Invalid
The email account (the inbox) does not exist at the given domain. For example, does-not-exist@domain.com results in a secondary status of email_account_invalid.
Disposable
Email address is disposable and the Inbox will self-destruct. Disposable addresses are created to be Valid only temporarily so their owners can sign up for promotions or services without using a primary address. Disposable addresses will not perform and typically just take up space in your database. DO NOT MAIL.
Role Address
Email address was created to message a function like sales@, support@, or postmaster@. While many Role Addresses are Valid, they typically underperform compared to addresses that message individuals. Unless you’re marketing to small businesses, Role addresses will often dilute the performance of your marketing program. MAIL AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Risky Emails
Emails with a status of either unknown or accept_all, or a secondary status of role or disposable are considered “risky” to be on the safe side it is best not to include them in your email marketing campaigns.

Facebook Global
Facebook Global Pages is a framework that allows brands to provide localized versions of their content to Facebook users all over the world. Global Pages allow you to promote your individual country pages using a single URL, combine individual page likes for a global like count and provide your fans with locally relevant content based on their location and/or language. Plus, dig deep into your customer data with combined insights for all of your country pages.
The Root Page:
This page overlooks the entire structure and is virtually invisible to users. The root page provides you with insights for ALL of your global pages. Root Page admins can add, edit, and remove roles on the root page, as well as organize the global page structure. They also have access to insights for every market page. Root Page managers MUST have a role on specific market pages to edit the corresponding page.
The Default Page:
The default page acts as the main URL for the page structure. When a visitor types in the web address, they will be automatically redirected to the appropriate market page. However, if a visitor does not meet any of the criteria set for their market pages, they will be directed to the default page.
Market Pages:
Market pages can be created for specific countries or regions. Customize these pages to determine who gets redirected to which page according to their location and language. Each market page will have its own Timeline, cover photo, profile picture, insights and apps.
Using Facebook Global Pages allows international companies to manage the global brand while providing visitors with a targeted, localized experience. When a user searches for your brand on Facebook, they will automatically be directed to the corresponding Market page based on where they are located or what language they speak. If a user doesn’t match the criteria of any of the market pages, they will instead land on the default page.
With Global Pages, the number of likes across the default page and all market pages are combined and count towards a global brand like count. Also, you can promote a single vanity URL across all market pages – whenever a user types in the default URL, they will be automatically redirected to the most appropriate page.

Facebook Location Pages
Location Pages allow you to display each of your locations or franchises to increase your online visibility and help consumers find you locally. With Facebook Locations, your Market pages get a built-in map and a store finder to direct users (specifically mobile users) to the location that is closest to them. Additionally, Location Pages are a great way to encourage check-ins and reviews to start building some credibility with your fans.
With location pages, you can choose to have anything you post to the Market page automatically publish to all location pages within the structure. This post functions as a ‘shared’ post, with shared Likes, Comments, and Shares. This is particularly useful if you don’t have the time or resources to post to each location page individually, however, if you want to post to each page individually you have that option as well.
Facebook Locations structure will need to be utilized for each of your Market Pages in order to list and display the locations or franchises within each country or region.
Let us do the grunt work for you. We’ll map out all of your franchises or locations, verify the data to make sure the maps work correctly, and create unique profile pictures and cover photos for your individual locations if so desired.
