FAQ: Ripple Effect: Decode Code Contest
1) When is the Contest open?
The Contest is open from June 24 at 9:00:01 AM ET to June 27, 2022 at 8:59:59 AM ET.
2) Who is the Contest open to?
Legal residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
3) What are the prizes?
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of 20,000.00 CAD.

4) How do I enter the Contest?
To enter the Contest, visit http://decodecode.to (the “Contest Website”) during the Contest Period and follow the online instructions to register for an account. You will be required to provide your first name, last name, email, phone number, job title, place of employment, address, and postal code, set a password, and click the checkbox to signify your agreement to these Official Rules. Next, click “Register”.
After registering for the Contest, you will be redirected to the dashboard. There are three (3) cryptic puzzles (each, a “Puzzle”) to be solved during the Contest Period:
a) Puzzle 1 (“Puzzle 1”) can be accessed from 9:00:01 AM ET on June 24, 2022 to 8:59:59 AM ET on June 27, 2022. To view Puzzle 1, click “Open” under “Day 1” on the dashboard, solve the Puzzle, input the answer, and click “Submit”. You will be notified on screen if you have input the correct answer or prompted to try again if you have input an incorrect answer.
b) Puzzle 2 (“Puzzle 2”) can be accessed from 9:00:01 AM ET on June 25, 2022 to 8:59:59 AM ET on June 27, 2022. To view Puzzle 2, click “Open” under “Day 2” on the dashboard, solve the Puzzle, input the answer, and click “Submit”. You will be notified on screen if you have input the correct answer or prompted to try again if you have input an incorrect answer.
c) Puzzle 3 (“Puzzle 3”) can be accessed from 9:00:01 AM ET on June 26, 2022 to 8:59:59 AM ET on June 27, 2022. To view Puzzle 3, click “Open” under “Day 3” on the dashboard, solve the Puzzle, input the answer, and click “Submit”. You will be notified on screen if you have input the correct answer or prompted to try again if you have input an incorrect answer.
5) Is there a limit on the number of attempts to solve each puzzle?
Participants are limited to five (5) attempts to solve each Puzzle per day while each Puzzle is open. The attempt limit for each Puzzle will be reset at 12:00:01 AM ET each day during the Contest Period (as applicable).
6) How will the winner be decided?
The first participant to correctly solve Puzzle 1, Puzzle 2, and Puzzle 3 during the Contest Period will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.
Please note: If Puzzle 1, Puzzle 2, and Puzzle 3 are not solved by an eligible participant by the end of the Contest Period, the Grand Prize will not be awarded.
7) When and how will the winners be notified?
The Grand Prize winner will be notified on June 29, 2022.
The potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by a designated representative of the Sponsor at the email and/or phone number provided at the time of entry. The designated representative of the Sponsor will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact each potential winner within forty-eight (48) hours of the drawing date.

8) Why isn’t the link working for me?

9) I think I’m having technical issues. What should I do?

10) Who do I contact regarding an inquiry not listed here?
Please direct your requests to the Contest Administrator by sending an email to help@raven5.com.
Be sure to identify yourself by providing your full name and explain the request in as much detail as possible. The administrator will carefully review and assess each request and respond within a timely manner.
11) How is Raven5 connected to Ripple?
Ripple has engaged Raven5 to administer the Decode/Code Challenge as part of Ripple’s effort to generate awareness for their arrival in Toronto. Raven5 works with a number of prominent brands for their online contest needs and was selected for their expertise in all facets of running a contest in Canada.
12) Don’t know where to start?
The Decode/Code Challenge uses a mix of algorithms, ciphers and cryptology tricks like salting. We recommend reading all of the FAQs before you start trying to solve any of the puzzles, there might be some helpful tips. The challenges get more difficult as you progress, remember that you only have 5 attempts before you are locked out for the day.
