Running a sweepstakes, contest or promotion can help further your marketing goals. When picking a sweepstakes marketing agency or contest vendor, how do you know you’ll be in good hands? We at RAVEN5 have compiled a list of questions for your contest vendor so you can see if they are ready to handle your contest or sweepstakes.
Any sweepstakes marketing agency should be well versed in the law surrounding contests, sweepstakes and promotions. Does your contest vendor know the difference between a contest and a sweepstakes?
It’s a good idea to go with someone who’s got experience. Ask to see a sample of past work. For example, check our Results page for some examples of our contests and sweepstakes.
Does your contest vendor offer prize indemnification insurance? Do they offer indemnification for entrants? Read more about contest indemnification.
As mentioned in a previous blog about international contests, entry requirements vary by country and sometimes even by region. Is your contest vendor prepared?
Do they have a winner selection process? This often requires contacting potential winners, verifying eligibility and other issues that may arise.
We at RAVEN5 offer contest updates and reporting as part of our sweepstakes marketing platform. It’s important to see how your contest is preforming.
Ask to see several examples of what they produce. Are they a similar format? Can your contest be customized?
Check their privacy policies and data security policies. Do they match or exceed your current policies?
Running a contest on Facebook will require different things than running a contest on Instagram. Is your contest vendor aware of the different guidelines on each platform?
Running a contest or sweepstakes requires a lot of work. Remember to ask these questions for your contest vendor. Are they prepared to run your promotion? We at RAVEN5 are leaders in contest and sweepstakes. Contact us to get started on your promotion today.
