Blogs > Online Video – What’s On Your Channel?

As your digital & emarketing agency we continue to stress that online video is a must for advertisers to get out their message. Video allows your message to be viewed, shared, commented on again, and again, and again. We must ask, “What’s on your channel?”
Notably most businesses have not embraced video noting the costs are high both in terms of dollars and in time. Initially this may seem correct, however, camcorders are inexpensive today. Backdrops are now your office, the park, the warehouse, even your desk or the couch at home. Online video is currently in the same segment as photography, taken when the opportunity presents.
Most companies need to set up their YouTube channels and get some video footage out there. Truthfully professional video is the way to go, after all, your message is better delivered by a professional. We’d always recommend professional video first and foremost. Yet, there are other options for those with a limited budget.
Some interesting facts found in Online Media Daily, “Report: Viewers More Engaged With the Original Web Video Than TV”. Polling suggested that 54% of respondents found web video just as or more entertaining than television. Get this – 60% of respondents reported watching web video content WEEKLY. Another snippet, 40% of viewers report sharing original video with others, sharing approximately 36% by email and 36% via social media.
The take a way on this; get going with your video program, post videos to both your website and to your YouTube Channel. If you need assistance we can help with both professional and conventional video programs. The future is now!
